Welcome to Ann Richman Art

My name is Ann Richman. I am an artist living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I have always been enamored with animals, and I bring my love for them into my art. Animals of all types are my main subject matter, although I also enjoy drawing people and landscapes.

I primarily create pieces using colored pencils, pastels, and graphite. Visit my galleries that are organized by either subject matter or medium used to create the piece. The commission process and pricing can be found by clicking on the links. For a short biography, see the about section. Email me to create a work of art for you by clicking on the button below.

Join my email list. I send out updates on what is happening in my studio, blog posts, and more.

Pet Portrait Artist At Work

Working on a commission of a yellow lab with one of my two trusty sidekicks, Lakota. Typically when I’m drawing, Addie (sidekick number two) is on the couch sleeping upside down.

Addie, my dog, asleep on the couch in an upside down position.

Here’s my girl, Addie, being adorable.
